Håholmen

The hotel on the island of Håholmen, located near the Atlantic Road, has been a traditional fishing village for dried and salted fish (klippfisk) since the early 1700s. Today, the charming cluster of houses includes hotel rooms, a restaurant, a pub, a museum, and small, cozy event and meeting venues. With around thirty buildings, many dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, Håholmen feels like an intimate village and a living piece of coastal history at the guests’ disposal.

The boat transfer from Geitøya takes you safely across to Håholmen in about 7 minutes. From June to August, the boats follow a regular schedule, while in May and September, transport is arranged by appointment so that arrival and departure can be tailored to your needs.

Boat transport to Håholmen

Timetable between June 1 – August 31

From Geitøya by the Atlantic Road, guests are brought by boat to the island of Håholmen. During the summer season, departures follow a set schedule, while from September to May, transfers are arranged by appointment. The short crossing is made by a comfortable, high-speed boat.
